SERVICES FOR MRS. STRINGFELLOW AT 4 WEDNESDAY
Mrs. Willie Adams Stringfellow, well known and prominent citizen of Gainesville for many years died suddenly yesterday following a cerebral hemorrhage with which she was stricken at her home 620 East Main Street South, yesterday morning. She was taken to the Alachua County Hospital where she died late yesterday afternoon.
Services will be held at 4 O’clock tomorrow afternoon from the DeWitt C. Jones Chapel with the Rev. B. W. Creassay, pastor of the student Episcopal Chapel of the University, officiating. Internment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Born June 13, 1875 at Opalaka, Alabama, the deceased was married to Thornton B. Stringfellow retired manufacturer and business man and a large real estate holder. With the exception of five years spent in Jacksonville while Mr. Stringfellow was active in the management of the Stringfellow Brothers Grocery Company, the deceased has lived in Gainesville for fifty years. She was a member of the Episcopal Church.
She leaves to survive her death her husband, a step-daughter, Miss Marguerite Stringfellow of Tampa and three sons, Hart R. Stringfellow and Arthur K. Stringfellow of Gainesville, and Jack B. Stringfellow of Morganton, N. C. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Lucille, Ann, Arthur Jr., David, Hart Jr., William T., Fred and Jimmy Stringfellow.
The family has requested that no flowers be sent.
