Dallas physicians, surgeons and specialists figured prominently in addresses
delivered before the convention of the West Texas Medical Society which opened
here Monday. More than fifty doctors were present.
On the program were Drs. Curtis Rosser, Ben O. Buford, Charles L. Martin, H. Leslie Moore, H. G. Walcott, Bedford Shelmire, Guy Witt, W. E. Sistrunk and A. I. Folsom all of Dallas; also Drs. Charles K. Bivings, M. H. Bennett and J. R. Dillard of Big Spring, Dr. W. E. Schulkey of San Angelo, Dr. Stewart Cooper and Dr. E. K. Sellers of Abilene, Dr. W. S. Barcus of Fort Worth and Dr. John W. Burns, President, and Dr. Holman Taylor, Secretary of the Texas State Medical Association.
A banquet was given the
visitors Monday night by Midland citizens. The convention was in charge of
Dr. M. H. Bennett of Big Spring, president and Dr. W. E. Ryan of Midland,
secretary. It closes Tuesday afternoon.
