Dr. Oliver H. Buford, of
Cartersville, Georgia, returning from Jamestown, made a stop over visit here
purposely to become acquainted with his Virginia relatives and to visit the
ancestral home, which is within a few furlongs of this place. He left on
Tuesday, and will spend a few days at Roanoke.

Mrs. Bernard Early has returned from the Jamestown Exposition.

Mrs. F. C. Otey, who has been recuperating at the home of her brother Dr. Walter Sheir, on Cripple Creek, has returned home much improved in health.

Mr. W. G. Otey has accepted a business appointment at Williamson, West Virginia and will enter at once upon his duties.

Official
information has been received that Governor Claude A. Swanson has commissioned
Mr. James H. Buford of Montvale a delegate to the Farmers National Congress to
be held October 17, 1907
