This letter is from Basil Duke Buford, a cousin and the son of my
ggGrand Uncle Charles Buford who left Kentucky
and went to Rock Island, Illinois. The Rock Island Plow Co. was just
one of his money makers. He also built a block of buildings down
town known as the "Buford Block."
