The Midway Kentucky Clipper says: Colonel H. B. Troutman and Mr. Claude Troutman of Georgia, returned home last Monday after spending several weeks with Dr. M. E. Poynter and wife, and at Mr. W. R. Buford's. Colonel Troutman is a highly cultivated Southern Gentleman and goes about with considerable alacrity, not withstanding he is eighty two years of age. He is the step-father of Senator Lamar, having married that gentleman's mother.
