Cynthiana, KY. - May 17 -- John C. McDowell, 78 years old, died at his home near Claysville, Saturday night.  He is survived by his wife and four sons, C. F., Claude, W. F. and Harry McDowell and two daughters; Misses Marguerite and Myrtle McDowell.  The funeral service was held this afternoon at the Beaver Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. S. H. Burgess.
