James Fulton Buford Jr., 55, of 2220 West
Davis, an Aircraft worker, died in a Dallas hospital Tuesday from a heart attack
suffered at his home Monday night.
Buford was born in Dallas, moved to Houston as a youngster and attended Rice Institute there. He returned to Dallas seven years ago. He was employed at Chance Vought Aircraft, Inc. for the last five years.
A World War 1 veteran, Buford was an active member of the Sunset Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; a son James Davis Buford of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. T.a. Garland of Galveston and Mrs. Mark Waterman of Steubenville, Ohio; father James F. Buford Sr. of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. L. A. Patterson of Dallas; two brothers, W. C. Buford of Dallas and F. D. Buford of Corpus Christi and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
held at 4p.m. Wednesday at the Lamar & Smith Funeral Chapel, 800 West Jefferson,
with Doyle Cannon officiating. Burial will be at Laurel Land Memorial Park
with members of Buford's Sunday School class serving as pallbearers.

James D. Buford, a nephew of Mrs. F. Buford of 733 West Cornelia, has been
assigned to the Coast Guard cutter Dione of Freeport. Buford enlisted in
the Coast Guard after graduation from Miller High School.
