Richmond, Virginia Times Dispatch
June 18, 1910

Frank Buford, editor of the Brunswick Gazette,
at Lawrenceville, Virginia died yesterday at 11 o'clock a.m. at the Memorial
Hospital from a complication of organic troubles, after a lingering illness.
A decided change for the worse in Mr. Buford's condition was noted about 11:30 o'clock Thursday night. The body will be forwarded to Lawrenceville this morning for interment in the family burying ground at Sherwood, near that place.
Mr. Buford, who was in his forty-second year, was a son of the late Judge F. Emmett Buford, of Brunswick, who was at one time a member of the State Legislature, and for many years prominent in politics in the Southside. E. P. Buford, a brother, has been Commonwealth's Attorney of Brunswick for the past twenty years. He has also been active in politics, having at one time opposed Governor Mann for the State Senate before the latter was chosen Chief Executive of the State.
Mr. Buford was a brother-in-law of Robert A. Martin, of Petersburg, and of Rt. Rev. Robert Strange, D.D., Bishop of East Carolina, who will conduct the funeral services at 4 o'clock.

This is the worst example of "Name Dropping" I have seen in a long time.
The person or persons who wrote this should be ashamed of themselves.
