New officers of the
Thomas g. Lawler post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, were installed last night by
Illinois Department Senior Vice Commander John Cenic, at a meeting held in
Memorial hall. Frank Jaycox became commander: Emil Munson, senior vice
commander: Georg Buford, junior vice commander: Frank Nash, trustee,
and Martin Dahlgren, quartermaster.
Applications were made out for the organization of the Order of Cooties, an
auxiliary of the Foreign War Veterans body. It's chapters are known as
NITS and the three degrees are terms NIT. grayback and cootie. Commander
Cenic has been appointed "supreme grochy dog robber" the official title of
a national aide. Applicatioans will be received until Jan 18.
