BUFORD COLLEGE
IS OWNER OF VALUABLE NASHVILLE ESTATE
~~~
The beautiful
Buford College of Nashville, Tennessee, announces the purchase of the estate
known as the Murphy property in that city, thus creating a valuable plant worth
well over $200,000 situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Nashville.
This property is located near the Vanderbilt and George Peabody College for
Teachers and is within ten minutes of the shopping district. To the
handsome Murphy home are being added spacious up-to-date buildings finely
equipped with every convenience and comfort.
Mrs. E. G. Buford, the president, has retained the excellent faculty and has also engaged skilled specialists for the Kindergarten primary and academic departments.
"Every phase of school life will have the very best care in the development of young womanhood." said Mrs. Buford. "A musical director, a man of national reputation, will have charge of the music department and in fact, every department and branch of our work will be in the charge of especially capable instructors. The plans and methods of Buford College are all in keeping with the most progressive, offering splendid opportunities in music, art, expression, domestic science, language, literature and the Bible."
The Buford College opens on Thursday, September 21, 1916, beginning it's
twenty-sixth year.
